just finished cleaning two of my hubcaps with 409 and a bottle brush..what a pain...anyone could recommend a solvent, process, product to take the sore fingers from polishing all the nooks and crannies out of the mix???

Cut the end off of the bottle brush handle, so you can chuck it up in a cordless drill.

yeah, thought about that...it's made of wood....doesn't anyone know of any dissolving type cleaner...it's not just the brake dust, that comes off fairly easy enough,..or sonic cleaners, etc ?

A friend of mine used to be in the car detail biz, he used to use spoke and wire wheel acid to clean wire wheels. Its nasty stuff that the professional detailers use. You can't get it at the local auto stores, only at places that cater to detailers.
