I apologize for asking this, I think this would be the suitable forum. I had seen a post I just cant find anymore about leather care products. Whats good to use on leather seats and leather dashes? Both mine are in perfect condition and I hope to keep them that way. I try to steer away from cheaper end products like armorall and such. I heard creams are the way to go, if so what kinds? Also any recommendations on tire care products?

Lexol Leather Protectant. I've been told not to use Armor All products, as they can deteriorate over time. Lexol seems to be the majorities choice on these boards. I looked for the thread too, but I guess it was taken out when they closed some of the forums.

Tire care? As in the rims or the tire itself? I just spray some simple green on my rims and brush them. Then when they are dry I use that wet tire shine. I've also heard you can use some motor oil to make them shine, but I wouldn't do that, especially with whitewalls.

Have used Lexol cleaner and Lexol protectant since 1978. Leather seats, motorcycle leathers. My 87 T Car is seldom garaged. Haven't got a tear or evil worn spot anywhere.

You'll find that Lexol products consistently get the best reviews and is used frequently by the members on this board and they know what they're talking about. My suggestion would be to go that route. I myself am using Meguiar's Gold Class for plastic/vinyl and for leather surfaces. Both do great and I haven't been dissappointed smile.gif .

I'm for Lexol and Meguiar's. Simple Green works wonders on wheels. Be sure to apply a coat of wax to the wheel to protect it from acidic brake dust and road tar. Use an SOS pad for whitewalls. Be careful not to apply too much tire shine. It can fling off at speed and discolor paint.

^ Lol. That's funny lookin when that happens.
I'm all about Meguiars, I love that stuff. Lexol works well also, though.

Hey guys.
I know most of you aren't looking for the most expensive option, but being lincoln owners...
When I got my first TC I also purchased a leather living room set from Lazarus, with the sofas and chairs came a box of Lazarus Leather care products.. comes with both a cleaner and protector in spray bottles, and what's called a conditioner in a bottle your pour from. 3 step kit, works WONDERS and remains shiny for weeks and weeks even after people sit on the seats. I know, at almost $40 for the kit (visit any Lazarus furniture store) it's pricey, but if you want the best and don't mind the price go for it!
