hood ornament

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I am a new Lincoln owner (93 TC Executive). I was wondering what the hood ornament is on the home page for this site. Is it a very old ornament from days past as I would assume? I was thinking that it might be a cool addition to my ride if available, appropriate, etc. Thanks!
