I bought a set of cornering lights for my Mark VII off eBay. I will be attempting to paint the raised Lincoln star inside the lens chrome. Hopefully, they will look like a factory job.

I got the cornering lights today. I am trying to take them apart. I cannot believe how well Ford glued them. They came apart with minimal effort on my Continental. I guess that's why I always see them missing a lens. Looks like whoever glued the Mark VII lenses loaded it with epoxy. Is there a better way than a Dremel? I don't thing the blade is thin enough the crevices are extremly tight and I can barely see any epoxy.

Stick it in the oven?

Update: I tried sticking one in the oven. The inner lens warped severely.
I also tried cutting one open with a rotary tool. I must not have cut it enough because I broke part of the reflector.
This has not been the quick and easy modification I expected. I did find out Meguiar's Scratch X is great for cleaning up the plastic lenses though.
