Hi All

In This Thread (http://www.lincolnsonline.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=3&t=002678) Nick suggested the way to clean whitewall tires was to use a SOS pad (we call them Brillo pads here in the UK), so I gave it a whirl, unbelievably easy, splashed some water on the tire, a few light wipes with the SOS/Brillo pad and they were as good as new.

Many thanks Nick for that tip, it's how I will be cleaning my tires from now on.

Regards

Dereck

You're quite welcome. We also refer to them as Brillo pads on occasion across the pond. I heard the tip from an auto TV show and I've been using it ever since. Happy motoring! :D

Brillos work nice, especially if you get the whitewalls rubbed against a curb.

I usually use a carpet brush (stiff bristles) and simple green to clean dirty whitewalls. Cleans all the gunk off quickly from both the black and white parts, and lets Armor All stick nicely. smile.gif
