Mop & Glo does Wonders!
My roof was still in good condition. No rips or tears but it was so dull it made the car look old. I was about to consider replacing it because of how bad it looked. I had read on another car site about a guy that had done this to his Chyrsler and had great results. I thought, well it worth a try and if it ruined it then I would go ahead and replace it. It did wonders! It looks brand new, shiny and clean. The process takes a few hours but well worth the time.
The way I did it is one solid coat, one at a time. Don't rotate like you would waxing the car but go from front to back, using a good sponge. It took me 5 coats to get the high gloss look of new. Each coat takes about 15 minutes to dry. Apply until you can see the new shine coming thru. The vinyl seems to soak it up until it's fully moisturized. I did mine while I was detailing other parts of the car so your not just sitting there watching it dry.
The good and the bad.
Clean up can be a bit messy because this stuff has wax or something in it. You will get some on the windows which takes a little scrubing to get off
The Good. This stuff does not wash off like amorall. I tried armoall a few times and when it would rain I would have milky trails all down the windows. Mop & Glo is like a protector. We had had rain all this week and the water beads up like a freshly waxed car and no mess on the windows.
Sorry this is so long but this stuff is wonderful and so much cheaper that a new vinyl roof.
