Sorry to spoil it for you guys, but that car looks like sh$t. Gauges are crap, and it looks so cheap inside. Lincoln should be embarrassed to even consider putting crap like that on the market. It’s just a little modified Lincoln LS, that’s what I see. This car is going to fail just like the Blackwood did and like the Mark LT WILL fail. By the way, nice pics pro :D

Honda Zehypr anyone? I think the interior looks ok but I still see Ford and not Lincoln.

I think Ford's idea was design a cookie-cutter import like car and put Lincoln badging on it in the hopes to steal away buyers who take Camrys, Accords and Mazda 6s :confused: . That's really all I can gather after looking at it.

I spent a good 15 mins with the Zephyr, that black one got absolutely zero attention at press days. No surprise, not a single Lincoln Mercury car got any attention, I was the only wierdo over there. The Zephyr already had lukewarm reviews at its official intro in Detroit, so the writing is on the wall here.

The Zephyr is a nice piece when not moving(interior feels like Navigator for the most part, except some cheaper plastics on the doors)until you consider a coupla things:

1. The V6 Mercury Milan that it shares showroom space with.
2. The asking price (est. high 20s to start)
3. The competition it faces, especially if you go into the low-30s, which isn't a financial stretch at all these days with leasing.

For its estimated asking price, the Zephyr is pretty much outclassed and outstyled in every respect. Worst of all was the doors that had the same tinny feel of a Mazda 6 or Ford Fusion. Needs more insulation in the doors to hide the Mazda roots.

Franco: I have a 3-4yr old Olympus, 3 megapixels I think. It only has a few resolution settings, I am using the 2nd smallest and its still bigger than I like. You can tell I don't know much about these kinds of things. smile.gif

I am wearing a green band to get in the show as a press-type, sort of like a rock concert, I guess.

I have a pic of me in the Zephyr, I'll post it soon. It will be a much lower res because I'll manually shrink it. No time to mess with all the others. ;)

I'll also see what information is in the L-M press kit, post that for a while too. smile.gif

haha pro thats it DCL , i couldnt think of the damn letters! i was just reading from blue oval .. i cant believe they are gonig to use the 300 and Charger for a cop car .. SUCKS!! b.c iam too familiar with the grand marq. and cown vic and even impala lights .. so if they are behind me or iam behind them even i know when to Slow my role .. ooh well

So pro did you get a good enough pic of the dust on the gauges and the texture of the dash pad and airbag?? ;) :D Great pics, sorry they were wasted on such an ugly car. Everytime I see and interior pic of that thing, I think Corolla. It seems just like my gf's 03 corolla. Hey, I got an idea. I have 2 extra Lincoln badges of of my taillights from making them clear. I will glue one to the hood and one to the trunk of her car and tell them I am trading in a zepher for a Mark VIII and I want the difference back in cash. :D I don't think they could tell the difference. ;)

That's funny. VW owners think the new Jetta looks like a Corolla, Lincoln owners think the Zephyr is a Corolla. Nice to see everyone has a mutual disdain for the Toyota Juggernaut. tongue.gif

Sweet lincoln emblems for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Ill put some on my ford explorer sport. I can call it the Mark LT sport. We can whore lincoln all over the ford nameplate!! LOL
