Thought some might be interested. I was surprised to see it in person.

There is a '38 Zephyr for sale locally, it's white but extremely rough - it's nothing more then a body from the looks of it. It's some $750, I believe... potential hot rod.

This one was sweet, nice interior , 460, big 4-bbl, C-6 modern suspension and ready for the power Tour With company. not really my color pic but it looked comfortable.

I know it's not a Lincoln, but the principles behind it make me drool. Jay Leno's two-tone silver '55 Buick Roadmaster coupe has my eye. He had 572 big block stuffed in, a 4L60E transmission installed, the front and rear sections of a Corvette chassis and suspension grafted on the Buick chassis, 17" billet aluminum wheels and tires made to look like stock 15" wheels, and totally stock body and interior. The transmission was programmed by GM techs at one of their proving grounds. Apparently, it was lapping the track at 140 with 4 guys in the car. :D

Michael...
You read my mind. I was hoping for an interior pic! I don't mind the color combo if it was year specific.
Love the exterior painted metal coming into the interior. Wish some of todays cars would follow suit.
Nick...
I've seen Leno's Roadmaster before, sweet ride.
I just wish he didn't exclude the German vehicles from his collection. Lots of good stuff there too.

Sounds like it could be a good deal; these seem to be a hot ticket, witness the one that sold for $400k at Barret Jackson and the wagon custom. Where is Duvall?

This is a Lincoln Zephyr. The Mark I shared the body styling with the external trunk mounted spare and the same grill. The dealer I visited recomended a two tone paint job, new leather interior, air ride suspension, and 20" wheels and with a 5 % tweeking this car could be put on the market at $115,000.00. The over all condition was very clean and would probably hit 95 to 98 out of a 100 at a show. Think a 300 - 12,000 mile car, maybe 22,000 1- 3 years old. :D This car was almost new-like.

Snotrod, Duvall is the mid-western portion of Washington State. I'm the 'high class overflow' for Redmond, which is the home of Microsoft. We're about 45 miles out of Seattle, so if you dont know where that is, well look at a map. Find the top of the state, find the bottom of the puget sound. Put your finger right in the middle and go over about 50 miles. smile.gif

On the showroom floor. This place is on the original drag in Tulsa. Check the links for some more show quality cars including a GS 455 Convertable, a 440 6 Pack Cuda and a 69 Chevelle SS headed for Big Bend, WI.

Those wheels and the seat fabrics don't do much for me. But its a sweet ride overall.
Kept it all Ford too. Mustang wheel, 70s Lincoln powertrain, Mustang seats (probably).
