Has anyone seen the new cross drilled rotors for the Mark? I was looking on Ebay and there's 2 or 3 companies that now make drilled and slotted rotors for our Marks they vary a little in price but you can pick a set up for about $120-140. me thinks me'd like to have a set this spring.

I don't know if I trust those. The real thing to watch out for is whether or not the drilling has hit any vanes. You don't want that to happen. There's a debate over cross drilling and slotting. You take away surface area for supposed benefits in heat dissipation. A lot of people also don't like cross drilled rotors for track use due to reliability issues unless the rotor has been tested for those conditions. I'm leaning towards the use of slotted rotors as a happy and conservative medium.

SN95 SWAP UP FRONT....That is what you should do....I am, then you have no problems finding anything you want.

What kind of struts do you need if you go with the SN95 swap? Further research shows that you need SN95 struts. Koni Yellows or Cobra R struts would probably be a good bet for valving.

I am using 97 cobra struts for my first attempt. You will need the SN95 struts so far as I can see - the M7 definetly will not work.
Problem is getting anything dampened for this heavy car - you are limited to light car mustang stuff - so you have to sacrifice unless you special order somthing.

LSCman ran '95 Cobra R valving on his Konis and he liked it, even with serious track use. Because of this, I am thinking the Cobra R struts and maybe the Koni Yellows would be stiff enough to counter the weight of our cars. The Yellows are their sport shocks so they are even stiffer than the Reds. With SN95 strut options, a set of struts valved for stiffer, aftermarket springs should suit us. The Cobra strut is a good start though to see what you really need and prefer. A few guys run them without complaints. I'd be willing to try it too for price and availibility.

You will get the same result taking a hacksaw and cutting a 1/16 or 1/8" groove in the pads in an X pattern to allow the gasses to escape during braking. Although, Cross-drilled & slotted look nice and work well on my car, I will probably not be reinstalling them as they rust up during the winter season (in storage) and I recommend not turning them down.
