Gas Meter Going crazy

I recently had some speed o meter issues where the miles per hour would flicker and say I was going 5mph whenever I went over 50. I regrounded the wire, but now the gas meters doing the same thing. Im thinking I can do the samething with the gas wire but I have no clue which one it is. Can anyone help?

Just for clarification, what model are you talking about, an LSC or BB. I see your screen name says 1992LSC, but you speak of a speedometer "flicker" as if it might be digital. Could mean something.

Either an alternator on the way out, or a loose wire under the hood (at the alt., the starter solenoid, etc.)
