Hello from Massachusetts! Me and my wife (ok my wife) just picked up a Zephyr. We love it so far. The color is light sage and the interior is light stone. We both really like the look of the car and the ride, I was surprised at the lack of body roll upon driving the car (I drive a 04 TRD Toyota Tacoma--so the ride is much better!). For options we got the moonroof, the alloys (most excellent), HID headlights (again most excellent), heated and airconditioned seats, and of course the THX sound system--very good for stock. Heres a few pics, I'll take better ones soon. Thanks!

very cool! That is exactly the same color and options I would get if I bought a new Zephyr. Nice!

Nice! You got yours with THX but without navigation? That's my preference too. THX is worth every penny over the mediocre stock stereo. Well the stock one is okay, unless you have picky people in the back seat a lot.
Mine would be like that but with grey outside and ebony inside. :)
Oh and welcome to Lincolnsonline! Hope you enjoy your stay. :)

Welcome and enjoy that car to the fullest! Ahhhh, new car smell. It's been so long, I've forgotten what it's like. I happen to love the Zephyr and it's corporate sisters, way nice cars.

Thanks for the responses and the EBay link, it looks pretty good. At first we didn't want all the options (esp the HID) but we got a pretty good deal and they are nice options. THe headlights really light up the road, the heated seats are awesome, the alloy make the car, moonroof was necessity and the THX sounds good and actually looks good, very good layout especially the speakers in the back, which takes no real trunk space away. The only option which we refused was the navigation system (we would have taken it for free only) it was 2500 and just seemed almost useless to us. Thanks again.

Nice ride. And I am sure those heated seats will be a warm welcome in the MA winters. ;)

^^^^^^Thanks, I actually got the car in West Springfield. I'll admit I was a little skeptical of heated seats (I'm a little old school), but with those seats on, we really don't need the heat on. As for the AC in the seats we'll see.....

You're gonna love ventilated seats. I've used A/C seats in our old Aviator and our new Navi and they are worth every penny.
There is reasearch showing that using the A/C seats leads to less use of the dashboard's A/C, resulting in better fuel economy. I'd have to agree, I barely use A/C with those seats and I live in Houston. :)

Only crappy thing is that you probably wont have an excuse to write on this forum anytime soon... maybe you should get a 91 conti just for kicks:)

Mmmmm. cooled seats... Those would be worth their weight in gold down here in our "instant soaking wet" sweaty summers in FL.

Sorry, we are too cheap and homely for that. But its really cool that you'd want one after all the Anti-Zephyr threads we posted.:)
We DO have decals. I am not normally a decal fan but I really like this LoL decal on my Mark VIII.

Your right. My wife doesn't want me going under the hood or checking out the muffler (LOUDER!). The only thing I might add to the car, besides the license plate bracket is a clearbra. I had a roll of the stuff and covered up the rocker panels on my Tacoma and that stuff works great...

License plate frames might not be out of the question.
One of these days ;)

Most of them are vinyl (glass etched look) decals applied to a chrome frame. so if we (you) can make Lincoln online window decals I don’t see why we (you) cant apply them to a Wal-Mart chrome plate frame.:)

First order of business would be a reputable (and affordable) supplier. And someone to handle shipping the darned things. :)

Good idea, I was looking for a removeable frame that has a extra large bottom piece to cover the hitch I am going to install. If I am able to modify a walmart frame for a wider bottom section that LOL sticker will work perfect on it!

Let me know how the clear bra works out. I checked with a local shop and got a quote around $700 for the bumper, lights, and hood. They have some custom computer cutting system to fit my car, but it stills sounds kinda high. However, break one of those lights and it'll start to sound cheep!!!

^^^^^^^^Just looking at the prices of the clearbra I know doubt I'll get one. The cheapest I could find was close to a 100$ just for the hood and little pieces of the front quarters. Usually I order through Clearmask.com but thier prices for the Zephyr are through the roof. I think the pre-cut headlight pieces are like 260$!!! Thats crazy. On my Tacoma I installed the pieces myself but I had problems with sharp curves, and looking at the hood of the Zephyr I have a feeling I'd be eating 100$. Maybe I'll buy it by the foot and cut it myself, but I'm sure it wont be perfect. Oh well, guess I'll just have to keep up on the detailing (thats no problem thats my specialty) and don't drive behind any sanding trucks:)

Just use your leftover material from the truck to cover the headlights. That's the most expensive part that needs protection. Looks pretty easy, not to mention the headlights come off the car in a few minutes if you want to apply the cover on a workbench.
