That's right, there's a real good chance the Escape's whipplecharger will bolt up perfectly to the Zephyr. The "hard" part will be getting a custom chip re-program and possible hood clearance.

But hey, this is noteworthy and maybe someone will take the plunge on their new $30,000+ Zephyr...

I have a hard time believing that the Zephyr will have all of the hood clearance that the Escape has, and that this will fit in there without some serious modifcation.

Thanks for killin my buzz. :) But yeah, a hood scoop would be needed for sure. Considering they don't make a kit for other 3.0L Fords, I assume there won't be one for the new CD3 cars anytime soon.

Killed the buzz, but probably saved your reputation. :p You know how it goes on the internet: about three or for forums down the line it ends up being "Yea this guy on LoL got his Zephyr into the 11's by just bolting on an Escape SC, that guy Pro-Five-Oh! He said it was super easy...":p

Hey, I did say "possible hood clearance" in the first post. But you're right, Captain Buzzkill. :p ;)
