It's a shame the VIIs didn't have that same molded hook design that the VIIIs had - especially the pre-'90 cars.

Almost all of the christmans tree pushies on my TC's panels are broken. I was JB Welding the pins to the door panels, and since the pins are molded into the door panel, I can't imagine replacements are sold.
The JB Weld works fine, but I am not gonna get too many "remove and reinstalls" out of that solution before I need another idea!

You can get new "christmas trees" at most of the big auto parts stores. I always buy a box of them before pulling a panel. I've found them in boxes of 15 before but most of the time all I can find are packs of 4 or 5. Not sure how 90s panels are, but on a box, the trees are slotted in like the hanger arrangement on the back of a power strip or telephone. Slide up to the larger opening and out they come.

On the 90+ TC, the base of the "tree" is molded into the door panel. You CANNOT remove that base without sloting the base panel material or you may rip a chunk out of the whole door panel! I have dremeled a few of them lose so I could replace the critical ones with less critical ones.
For example, the bottom trees were broken out on the driver's door, but I had two trees on the top between the handle pull strap. I relocated them to the bottom. Maybe these trees can be had from a dealer, but installation requires JB Weld because once you cut out the broken one nothing is left to hold the new one!
