Turn Signal Sound?

Have a 2000 Town Car after braking I get a clicking sound like when the turn signal is flashing.But turn signal is NOT on. Any Idea's what might be causing this?

had this happen on 97 explorer. It was the multi function switch. can you get it to flash by playing with it, like jigggle it and hold it in different positions? The explorer was clicking but the light in the dash was just steady on and no blinker.

But the Turn Signals work correctly. The problem is...I get a constant clicking sound exactly like the sound you get when you turn the turn signal on..... but this happens after I apply the brake and does not ...stop... untill I apply the brake again.. and then the sound starts up again.

sorry I misread your post. This seems like a very strange circumstance, good luck. Is it the the same thing that is clicking that clicks when turning (lcm). Your LCM may be on the fritz; an expensive part though, so dont listen to me, but its an idea.
