whats the most common tranny leak for conti's ? i got a small leak that needs to be addressed,it seems to leak when the nose is up but not when the nose is down,like on a down hill,its ok...........im gonna see if the pan is loose and the lines are ok,any ideas ?

Sounds like a output shaft seal, could be a pan gasket but it is not so likely.
Jack up the front of the car and spray some brake cleaner around the pan and then let it sit for a short time, you should see fluid dripping down with in a 5 to 10 min time span.

thanks steve,friday im gonna put the front up with some pallets and spray it with starting fluid, i think it cleans better than most,then ill get the wrench and start tighting bolts............................i just hope this will not be expensive,,,,,,,,,i need a small bill this time

When it comes to Transmission pan bolts you do not want to over tighten them because you can squeese the gasket out the sides, bring them down to snugg and then give then a half a turn.

This is going to sound odd but you want the wrench to have the same effort against it as you would if you had a large skillit in your hand holding it out in front of you.
