I WAS GIVEN A 1989 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL. THE PROBLEM IS: ALL FOR (4) TIRES ARE SO LOW I CAN'T GET UNDER THE CAR. THE PREVIOUS OWNER SAID THE AIR BAGS ARE GOOD. THE COMPRESSOR PUSHES ARE BUT DOESN'T RAISE THE CAR. WHERE SHOULD I START? BY THE WAY I HAVE A 1993 DEEP JEWEL GREEN MARK 8. ALSO, DOES ANY1 KNOW HOW U ORDER FROM LINCOLN MOTOR SPORTS, I CAN'T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO PRINT A ORDER FORM.

THANKS,

If yopu have a cracked/broken airline anywhere in the system you can't pump up the air bags. They are all pressurized when the pump is running and if there is a major leak, well............

You can apply air the the schraeder fitting on the pump and then squirt soapy water everywhere on the lines to look for a leak.
The right front line on mine cracked due to cold weather and it has the least amount of flex room of the two front lines.

The O-ring that is between the cpmpressor and the dryer can leak as well. Mine was hardened and I had to replace it with a refrigeration o-ring as the ones in the normal kits were too skinny to seal.

a rusted/stuck open vent valve (in compressor) will cause that too

The sad part is that in 89 they did not have the ever so helpful schraeder valve.
If you can fill a squirt bottle with hot soapy water and spray the hoses right off the drier as the pump is trying to pump ait into the system.
Bubbles will form right at the point the drier and the hoses connect, if this is the problem then you will need to remove the drier and do a service on it.
If this is the problem let me know I will service mine and take pictures as I change the o-rings so you can understand how it is done.

hehe, 89 no schrader valve, my 90 does, my 91 dont... go figure....

yea, the air lines comming out of the dryer is where my 91 was leaking when I got it....

BTW, the air compressor and dryer from the 90 are NOT avail.. they are spares for my 91... that and the 4 new airstruts are why I bought it and went 800 odd miles each way to get the car!
