Happen to know anyone with another one like yours? If so, I would feel the exhaust on thiers to see if it is indeed a problem. Mine isn't a solid stream of air coming out either and that is perfectly normal. As to the real problem, I really don't know. Best of luck with it though.

Whe was it tuned up?
Have codes pulled and post them.
I don't know if you have tried any injrctor cleaner lately, if not then Seafoam or Techron by Chevron are very good.

I just whent to Auto zone and they pulled the codes they sayd that
O2 sensor in bank 2 is malfuntioning
and Cylinder 4 and 8 are missfireing or misfuntioning

i have had a bad o2 sensor and never had this problem befor
its like if i stand becouse that car the exsoust just hits me like a pait ball gon firing without any paintball just the air
so is this a problem and if so i never seen 2 sylinder go at the same time dose this mean the plugs are bad or the wires ?
i called the dealership where i had the plugs changed and they cant look at it till next week on monday so i am hoping that its not damaging anything by driving it is it

Well pop the hood and look at the plug wires going to 4 and 8. Could be they are loose or visibly damaged.

You may not damage anything by driving it as is, but you aren't doing it any good either.

ok thanks i dont know what to look at for visual damage someone told me it could be a cap and a rotor
i am going to pull the plugs and then put them back in hoping nothing goes wors thy

You can remove the dist cap and look inside for moisture, carbon tracks, dirt etc. If the contacts and the rotor tip look really burnt, go buy a new set at the parts store. Switch the wires one at a time so you don't mix them up.

Look for cracks cuts and wear marks on the plug wires. Not uncommon for a couple of them to get chewed up by the cooling fan on a fwd car.

ok just checked the wires couldnt get the plugs out do to i dont have the tools
but i took the wires out looked at them they look find

not cracks but its stilld oing the same thing shaking and when i got behing the car i feel the esuasted shoote dout at me like a air gun pop pop pop pop po\p and so one and so on
monday im taking the car to the dealership i hope its somthng rong with the plugs becouse the plugs are under warranty the wires are not so maybe that it just a misfire from a bad plug
wondering what els it might be i did seafoam it thismorning and the seafoam when in like youslau and came out the same way it always did lol
thank you

I think he has bad plugs.
If you get a cheep ratchet and spark plug socket to pull the plugs I would suggest doing so.
Your car dose not use Platinum plugs. Don't put them in and if when you had it tuned up they installed Platinum plugs have them removed.

an 95 continental calls for platinum plugs
i have read it in sevral area and the dealership sayd OEM plugs are platinum
the 3.8 didnt need them im hoping there just bad plugs if it not and i have to spend mroe then 250 to fix her she will be sitting in driveway for a few weeks :(
i dont understand how come you say the car dose not call for platinum plugs i had talked to many ppl on difrent sights all say the 95 and newer has platinum plugs becouse of the 4.6 DOHC

Sounds like your prob came on suddenly. What about the timing chain/belt (Don't know what's in your car)? If you've slipped out a notch it could cause such probs...I think, but I'm no expert.

They just have a hard time running with them.
You can do what you want, One way or another really makes no differance to me, I am just going to offer you some advice, you can take it or leave it.

I've not had very good luck with the platinums either. The cheap coppers just don't seem to foul as easy since they have such huge discharge surfaces. They're tough as nails.

Dudes maybe copper is great on these cars, but they are rated for plats and run great with them from the factory!

But after 100k+ miles and 15 years, they get a little cranky?

I will agree they do call for plats from the factory, Yes. and as I said he can do what he feels best doing.
I have one car that I run Iridium plugs in that came with Plats from the factory. at over $12 each I would be happy to run $6 plats but it runs better with them, so it gets them.

Have you had the plug wires OHM tested for correct resistance? that has to me done wth a meter.
It sounds as thoe they could be bad. even if you had them changed still have them checked.
It sounds as thoe they are on a down hill slide just by the milage postings you put down.

Have you tried to clean the Mass Air Flow sensor, located right behind the Air Filter (Engine Side - not the Intake)? It can often be cleaned by spraying it with Electrical Contact Cleaner. Good Luck

Okay, I just looked at this thread and the one titled "Need new engine" - thsi seems to have developed quite suddenly while driving the car - sudden jerking and erratic exhaust - now I really lean towards valve/timing problem.
