jasper engines

anybody know about jasper engines ? are they good ? does it pay to put a engine in at 2300 hundred dollars to buy then to replace the heads wich my mechanic wants 1700 to do both heads ?

I think it's a much better idea in the long term. Just make sure the $2300 is a long block (with heads) not a short block (no heads). Labor should be a lot less to simply pull one motor and replace it.
