hey ppl my air ride is jacked up....when the pump is on it lowers my front all the way down...so i manually run air thru it and it fills up just fine then i shut off switch and its good but when i try to turn on switch it just runs and the front sinks to the bottom...i had my hydros removed in order to fix this problem any help will be greatly appericated..

is the problem only in the front??? if so, check for bad air compressor (needs a lot more air pressure to raise the front than the rear), bad dryer (plugged, not letting much air thru).

also, it sounds like your able to fill with the system 'off'... you shouldnt be able to, because turning off the A/S switch in trunk shuts off the controller, and therefore nothing will tell the solenoids to open. If in fact you can fill properly with the A/S switch in off position, you have shorted wiring, or possible a fried controller.

the system is really pretty simple... the a/s controller monitors height, and either turns on compressor or vent valve (inside compressor) to raise or lower either front corner, or the rear (depending on which solenoids are told to open up).

I think the key to the trouble shooting on this one is the fact that with the A/S switch off, you can raise the front with the schrader valve.

ok, sounds like a weak compressor... it takes a lot more air pressure to raise the front than the rear. as long as its holding once its up (with switch off) the bags and bag solenoids are probably ok.

one quick ?... when you fill with the schrader valve, does it stop rising by itself?? IE the computer thinks its at the right height and shuts off the solenoids?

one other possibility is a problem with the vent valve, but a new compressor takes care of that, since it is in that assembly.
