Just wondering if anyone has used the B&M "Shift Improver" kit? BM racing product # 40263

If anyone has on contis or on other cars what does it replace? Thinking about doing it on my '89.. lmk.

Shift kits seem to be good for the most part, I say do it.
they improve shifts and life of a tranny. If you plan on running the car harder then I suggest a whole new tranny, Jasper is one company many people here use. I have no idea about them, I have never used them.
If it is an 89 you have then I'd say get a rebuilt that has been modified .

Also, the site you linked to does not indicate they have a kit for your transmission (which is the AXODE). Come to think of it, I've never seen any sort of shift "kit" for that tranny. Like Steve said - you'll have to get a rebuilt one with all the goodies.

it's not the AXODE, just the plain AXOD.

The same holds true for the AXOD. I'm not aware of any
off-the-shelf shift kits for these transaxles.
