I need to replace my heater core, Its leaking and has all the tell take signs of failure. Yall have more experience with these cars and are the most talented wrenchs I know so I thought I would come here. I have undone the glove box and studied the mechanics of the whole thing and put the heater on max to open the blend door so i can see the heater core but i have no idea on how to remove it. Any suggestions would really help a lot.

Thanks, Nick

Go OEM for maximum quality; afterall, heater cores are cheap enough and a HUGE PIA to change out, so don't skimp. You could always plug the heater hose. Afterall, how often do you need the heater in Houston? :dunno:

Good point it is Houston, but it still gets down into the thirties in the winter, just doesnt snow. I just dont want to take out the dash :( , but i just ordered the HVAC ford dealership manual from Faxton yesterday on Ebay so it should be here soon, and be a big help. I have tacken the dash out more than once, but not to the point where i have to take the blue skin out as well if you know what i mean. Thanks for the suggestions ill keep yall updated.

Anyone know of any Lincoln orginization in the Houston area? I have been wanting to get more involved in the scene.
I know Pro-5-oh is in Houston.
