97 Continental A Ghost Got Me!

fOR THE LAST YEAR I WOULD GET A 171 AND 172 CODE. i REPLACED THE MAF SENSOR, ALL THE VACUUM LINES BACK TO FACRORY SPEC AND REPLACED THE THOTTLE BODY GASKET. sTILL NO RELIF.

I just tried the high milage oil an walla the codes have disappeared. Now what would cause this to happen?
