Sorry for posting a tech question in the lounge…but I couldn’t really post it in any of the Lincoln sub forums. ;)

Several months ago I had the compressor replaced on my 2000 Sable. Everything was working great until just recently….
I ran the EATC Self Diagnostic Test and got code 25 and 51. I know 51 is the sun load sensor, which would make sense because the auto lamps have been on continuously lately. I had access to another sable, my sisters 2003 so I removed its sun load sensor and sure enough code 51 no longer came up.

Code 25 is "Intermittent fault in blend door calibration" how do i go about fixing this?

Any suggestions?

THANKS,
Joe

I got to thinking....if the sun load sensor was defective, maybe it was giving false readings to the computer thus making the computer correct the issue by calibrating the blend door. So I took the sun load sensor again from the 2003…ran the self test but this time deleted the codes and now get 888 with no codes so I hope that fixed it.
:cheer:

I hope so....I made a order with fast parts network for the sensor ($22) and we will see if that fixes the problem permanently...
