Hey aristo1963, do you remember my CD changer problem where it kept saying bad CD? Well I found another CD player that the spindle motor actually works but this CD player only plays certain types of CDs. It can't seem to play the burned CDs, is it not suppose to play burned CDs? My orignal CD player used to, I think, I don't remember now.

mine will play some burned ones but they are technically not supported.

What brand and model CD player is it?
I have a few geek buds that could maybe come up with the proper format to burn your CDs to. I could very well have a program that will do it myself.

Make sure that you're burning your CDs in CDA (CD Audio) format. Then they should play on any CD player. If you're burning them as MP3s you'll probably have probs. Also use CDR discs rather than CDR/Ws. Good Luck!

Try to use CD-R media that is silvery (non-tinted) on the recordable surface. The purple/green/blue tinted surface CD-R's seem to be problematic with older CD players.

these CDs do work on My TC and my Mark VIII, so I am guessing its the right format. The CDs it can't play are tinted so maybe that is the problem.
