A/C cycling

I know I need to replace the A/C cycling switch on my 84. Do I need to discharge the system to do this or is there a schrader valve in there or something.

Should be a valve, just hope it's not stuck open. Just be careful unscrewing it.

:) sweet now I dont have to pay someone to discharge it.

Problem solved, now my compressor turns on and I have fixed another leak. I hope there is no more leaks. Thanks alot
