Has anyone replaced one or both of these? I developed a small (for now) oil leak that is dripping onto the exhaust system. If anyone has replaced this part before, let me know what it entails. I know it's no easy job  but I gotta do it for the love of my Taurus...er...Lincoln :p

Snug down the bolts alittle first to see if that helps. Sounds like it would be a bear to replace, especially on the rear valve cover.

On 5.0s the valve covers just get loose, retorquing the gaskets fixes it easy.

Retorque the bolts to 71-106lb/in. Might as well use a torque wrench since this is an InTech and probably doesn't use cork gaskets like older motors.

Thanks guys. I'm still learning about these behemoths. My mechanic buddy quoted the job as 4-5 hours  . Anyway, I'll try out your suggestions and see how it goes :)
