Hi all, I appreciate all the help I got for the light problem, but now the darn oil pressure gauge is misbehaving. The bars indicator will be normal(4) then bounce to 1, then maybe 2 or 3 and back to 4 and of course the warning alarm is buzzing away. It does not need oil. I read the other post re: a sensor...is this prhaps the problem? And, where might that be located?
Thanks all..

ok, the pressure sender is located on the 'front' of engine (passenger side of car), just about right straight down below the idler pulley for the belt. its above the oil filter.. you will see it if you look close enough. check the connection to it, could just be loose/dirty
also, you may need a 'dcl tuneup' http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/00086.html
bad connections to the cluster can cause the oil press gauge to bounce around and alarm to go off.
Also, if its doing it mostly when warm, you could need an oil change (dont know when last time you did it was), I have seen high milage 3.8's with older oil exibit similar oil pressure problems, cured by oil/filter change. its because they are getting a little 'loose' and the older, thinner oil when warm will cause a pressure drop in the system due to worn out bearing, ect...
dont get alarmed by the last paragraph, its a worst case scenario.. you probably have a flakey oil sender, or DCL tuneup needed!
