Whats Keeping My Dome Lights On?

This may sound stupid but my dome lights will not shut off in my Mark VII. I just noticed today when the battery was completely dead so I throw my optima battery in from my mustang and I notice all of the dome lights in the car will not shut off. Doesn't matter if the car is running or off. So I took all of the bulbs out for the time being and I disconnected the battery so I dont kill the other one. I can't think of anything that could be keeping the dome lights on. Anyone else have this problem or know how to remedy it? Thanks

You have timed lighting for illuminated entry/exit; the timer is stuck. Troubleshooting is a pain with or without the factory Car Shop Manual and EVTM, but it's easier if you have them. They're dirt cheap on eBay if you can find them there, and new manuals are at: www.helminc.com
