I have 95 lincoln continental, I have an abs light that wont go off, it will shut off in colder temperature, but as soon as I apply any brake what so ever it it will act like it is sliding and apply the abs. even when the car is at a stand still, I am also getting a check ride control, message constantly and there is a popping sound coming from the front passenger side wheel well and the lights start to flicker like there is a bad power drain, is it possible the pump is bad??
please help I love this car and don't want to junk it..

WOO! HOO! another upper midwesterner
Hi and welcome to Lincolns Online

Have you had any brake work done lately?
I wonder if you are not having a problem with the sensor on that wheel??

Can I ask, where in Minnesota are you from?

Hmmm, welcome!

I would start by disabling the ABS by pulling the fuse. You will probably need a code reader to really find and fix the problem with it.

Is it riding low? I am not exactly sure what the ride control does, it may just adjust the shocks.

That popping sound is what Im worried about, you need to try to diagnose that more, maybe with a friend to get some more pinpointing done.
