DO anyone know how to disable the audiable part of the DCL alarm?
I've pulled the dash apart a couple of times and cleaned the connections. All for not. The DCL alarms returns each time after about 1 hour later. I'm hoping to buy myself some time until I can afford to replace the dash.
Thanks in advance.

Not easy. Way easier to remove the dash, disassemble and resolder all the three sets of cable connector pins to the circuit board. Seems to be a premanent fix.

yup.. some years only have 2 connectors.. they are black on all years I have seen..
that will fix it for good... call it an engineering flaw if you like, but I think ford made the harness's that connect to them a smidgen shorter than they should have.. seems to put pressure on the plugs.

The alarm box you seek is on the side of the steering column, on your right side.
I don't recall if it is green or black but it is about 1-1/2 inches by 2-1/2 inchs long and roughly 3/4 to 1 inch thick.

Thanks for the help. I guess I'll replace it. I don't know what I'm doing with soldering.

Or you can just disconnect the harness that going into the alam module - turns off all the audbile alarms!

did you clean the silver contacts on the harness connector too?
check them they also may be pushed in or not seated correctly in the plastic connector. when i cleaned the contacts the copper ones and the silver ones i used a red scuff pad.
