Hi Folks
I was wondering if this mount is suppose to be nice and tight. I can move it back and forth up and down side to side without any problems. please look at pictures attached. Is this mount the Front engine mount?

That's not an engine mount, that's a vibration/torque dampener. Some fwd GM products also use that to lift the engine out of the bay, but I doubt that here.

If the bushing is in good shape and the bolts at each corner are tight, you should be fine.

it seems like teh bushings are all messed up. I toced this when I was tightening the wheels while it was on jack stands everytime I tighten down the lugs it would squeak at the bushings. I guess I have to get a new one. Any one knows what that is call so i can look it up and order from fordparts.com . thanx

Check your engine mounts first. Maybe they are worn and are making that brace work overtime for no reason. :)

It is called a torque strut and any parts store should be able to get you one $25. to $30.

Looks like a much better design, they changed the big bushing and made it solid?
