Question for the "Ivory Tower"- Bill Ford, Alan Mulally, etc.
I have had numerous Ford products, tried others-including the imports, and am back to Ford (Lincoln Town Car actually). My question is this: Why would a company that has done so well in the large car segment of the industry give that up? ie. Town Cars are used by the majority of the liveries and Crown Vic's are used by many police forces.
As well, there are many of us (the consumers) who just feel safer in a larger vehicle...Town Car/Crown Vic. I'm can only imagine GM's glee at finally getting to go after the liverie segment without one charge by Ford; never seen a Crown Vic limo...have you?
If the Town Car is eliminated, I can only imagine there will be a lot of Cadillacs sold in the next few years; that truly makes me sad.
Sincerely Sad in Harrisburg-
