I just watched these videos and these conti's switch at 4,000 RPM or so while mine switch 1-2 gear at 5900 RPM. The 2001 are suppose to be faster but from these vidoes, mines faster then 2001 and the 1998

This is mine, I had two people with me included(325 pounds together ) no reduction. plus my car has all the option(more weight )

There's no doubt the newer Contis were softened up in the performance department, but that even surprised me...I forgot our 1999 Conti probably shifted at 4000-ish rpm too.
Your car also has the older style heads with a dual-port intake design...but its more likely that the computer's timing curve was just more aggressive in 1995-1997.

Why you making a left turn at 100mph?
EDIT: Sorry, just saw that yours was the older conti - by the way I thought for a second that TheSweetRossLG was on crack. You can chip your ABS?!??!?

yea but I think we got more torque 302 vs 275 (MSN). if you run those video's side by side mines about 3-4 mph quicker

Donno how it works on the Contis, but there's a diagnostic plug for ABS...either a regular code scanner or a mechanic needs to pull it up. Get the code, odds are you have a bad wheel sensor and it'll be $50-100 to fix.

It all depends on when that power is developed.

Interesting, sounds like an easy extra 15 HP!
But again, you may need the computer tune to take advantage of it. I would deffinitly look into see what SCT has to offer for our cars.
I made up the terms 'gen 1' to describe the earlier style Intechs, etc. Why not right? ;)
