How's everybody doin' today? 2 questions regarding this matter:

Every morning when i start my car(90 cont.) i hear a whirring sound. And as that sounddies down, it is followed by what seems like a door or a flap that closes. After that, i could hear water trickling and swishing under the dash or inside the dash. I know that can't be normal, so:
1. Where is that coming from?
2.Why is it doing that?

I know this much,my AC doesn't work. Heat comes out if its turned on. I have found some brown and 'mushy' substance before on my radiator cap. I've flushed my radiator (the best i could) a few times and am slowly removing that gunk off.
I still have question(s) about some other problem that i have, but that would be on a different post. I just hope you guys don't get tired of answering these questions...and i really do appreciate all the help. thanks.

the 'whirring' sound that quits after a few seconds is probably the air suspension compressor, althought thats in the right front corner of the car, not anywhere near the dash.

the door or flap closing is possibly the blend door or the diverter door in the heater assy... try turning the EATC off before you shut car off (wait a min after turning to off before killing car to allow it to 'park' the doors).

as for water swishing/trickling.. I recently heard that in mine, but it was misting and I had my Def on (my ac dont work much either, but the def also turns on the compressor, if there is enough charge in the system to allow it). I figured it was condensation comming off the evap core and not quite making it out the drain pipe... possibly plugged drain.

On some of the older Conti's and Taurus, you could actually hear the coolant rushing through the heater core, especially if there was an air pocket in the cooling system...

You still haven't done that heater core?...shame shame...lol

It's not that bad........4 hours, you're done (with air tools)

now the problem is no 'place' for me to do it.. (or air tools)... also, finding a reputable A/C shop.. (or does the updated method require evap removal, I dont remember)..
