Went to the dealer to get some parts for my Mark, lo and behold the new Mark LT is out!
New blocky headlight reflectors, different from the F150
New front bumper, cleaner design than the F150
New Zephyr-inspired grille, looks way more expensive than the 2006 model
Chrome rings around the taillights...looks a little more upscale. All in all, I'd be less upset with the Mark LT if it looked like this back in the 2006 model year.

Same story on the interior:
Steering wheel finally has wood trim to go with the leather, not that corny tu-tone leather.
Chrome Lincoln logos (shades of the 1960s) adorn the seats (4) and the center armrest.
There's a slick black interior now available.

I’d rather have a 2006; Navigator :p .
The LT must be doing pretty well as I see quite a few on the road…in fact I saw an 07 this morning.

Me too. And they seem to sell okay in places like AZ and TX, not so much anywhere else. ;)
If it actually had more unique body/trim parts I'd take it over the 'gator because of the open bed and better towing capacity from its stronger frame.

The better question is why does either still have only 300 HP? They're getting blown into the weeds.

Because they canned the big-bore engine project (forgot the codename) over a year ago only to start it back up again recently. If Ford had a frickin' clue as to what makes them money they'd have that bigger mod motor by now.

They need a better mod motor. If they threw on some variable valve and exhaust timing, they could get more power with less and still get better gas mileage.
The last Mark LT was pitifully badge engineered. It could have passed for a GM hack job.

damn, gotta agree with you all! The 2007 is visually a lot more special than the first year. It embarrased me to see the hallowed Mark name on that thing when it hit the streets. If they've given the interior the royal treatment like the new Navigator, there's hope. And the engines, Ford that they may be, should all be a notch higher in performance for the Lincoln marque.
If I could pick any vehicle to grab in pristine condition and preserve for the future, I still want a Blackwood though :) Of course I also want my Mark fresh off the assembly line again too, never hurts to dream

Wait 'till they put a 3.5L Duratec in it. F-L-M is becoming a Duratec World.

I think it has variable valve timing. All 3V Mod motors have it? Anyway, what it needs is the Navigator's 6-speed automatic. That first gear really launches the Navi with authority.

Anybody has new interior shots of the 07? Its not even on their website yet. Ford is defenately behind.

I think there was an 07 on eBay last week. You'll see them auctioned off en masse in a few weeks.

There ya go. Also note the MP3 input jack on the top of the dash, right above the stereo. That and the (optional) Navigation system are a nice touch too.

It's nice, and good for them to make it at least a little more Lincoln specific...but it still looks like an F-150 to me.

Thanks. Why the 07 is not on Lincolns website yet dealers already sell it on Ebay. Werd
