I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator 4wd. I am replacing the compressor and the dealer stated the sensors are bad both the front and rear. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Brian

I find it hard to believe that the sensors are bad, especially if you aren't getting a Check Air Suspension message on the gauge cluster. What is the problem? I can see a compressor going out from a leaky spring (or two) but the sensors??? Not likely.

Don't trust the dealer once your warranty runs out. Look around the forums for the older Lincolns and you'll see a lot of people screwed by overcharging dealers.

Oh, and welcome to the forum. :)

Thanks V8 dave,

I did help the brianrennie, the sensor(s) were on back order and he needed them asap so i directed him to 3 dealers in his area that showed to have the parts. and I managed not to "screw" him over and didn't make a dime for doing it.

yes that was a rib at my new buddy pro-five-oh ;)

brianrennie: Wait a second, this is a 2003 model...don't you still have a bumper to bumper warranty???

Hey Ed...I finally lost it when they left a 1992 Continental sales brochure (this was in 1992) in my 1983 Continental after it came back from service. And it never significantly improved with all the newer Fords I've owned.

I've gone back occasionally for dealer service, but I'll never trust them for much. Lexus dealers treat me (and my Aunt's ancient 1990 LS 400) like a King...Lincoln service advisors still don't understand the meaning of empathy and respect. Its a damn shame, but hey, I'm hurting inside.

Now my local parts guy at the dealer, he's a different story. ;)
