Anyone know what the bulb sizes (standard...ie..."168") are on the 88-94 Continental instrument cluster? I think it takes 4 or so mini-halogens then a whole slew of the really tiny ones.
My plan is to creat an orange dash (nailfoot - eat your heart out! ) using red LEDs behind the green cluster.

hmm that would be cool, if it works.. not sure tho. would like to see it tho. I am curious about the red light (from LEDs would be ONLY red light) going thru the green filter... I think it might NOT change color as you plan (it might work, dunno), but might end up being 'blank'. The green filters on the lcd's block all the light except the green wavelenths...
Go for it, if it works, GREAT!

I can see a down side to using LEDs. The light projects out the tip of a LED and will only be a spot on the display where a incandesant 194na/168na will spread the light out across the face of the display.

Not when I use a LED with an 180 degree viewing angle!
