I thought MY paint was expensive to match up! A scratch in that bad boy would sit you back a G or more!!

Man, that is one sweet paint job. As nailfoot points out, that would be a real bugger to "scratch and match".

That's pretty sick. It looks like he used the same technique that is done to marblize paint, which is pretty easy. Getting the paint to look that good, on the otherhand, is amazing.

The painted chrome trim looks funny to me….

i thought it looked great until i saw the gaudy chrome wheels :( those killed it

I was more saying that he should have painted the trim to look like wood and complete the look.
Not that I'm against chrome ;)
The solid color just doesn't look right with that custom paint.

I don't think it was intended to look that way, it just happened. I believe they were going for the marble look and it ended up looking like woodgrain so they called it that. Not fond of the wheels or painting the chrome but it looks pretty good nonetheless.
