I have a 87 lincoln town car with a fuel injected 302 and i cant get it to start every time. ive replaced the tank, filter, fuel regulator, plugs wires cap roter, starter, cylanode, all thats left is the igniton, and the TPS. it starts for me some times but ill be driveing and itll just die. Could it be the o ring on the locking plate around the fuel pump causeing it to not pressurise? im open to any thing. Thank you

intermittant start/dieing problem??

have you replaced the TFI module yet? fairly cheap and a known problem for intermittant ingition items.

Yeah, sound like bad TFI module to me as well. They are known for heat related failures so its very possible that it stops working when the engine warms up.

I've also heard from someone on this board that they had a similar problem because of the wires connecting to the computer getting corroded or loose.

That was me with the corroded wires to to board and I also think it could be the TFI. I would also double check the ignition coil. The coil itself may be fine but double check that the "tower" that the wire plugs into is smooth and without corrosion. Lack of proper connection here can cause a no start.
