My 1989 T/C has a cranky trunk lid pulldown motor - stops working - getting stuck in the up position where the trunk semi closes, or even worse, in the down position and the trunk lid won't engage. Now it won't turn off - just keeps buzzing! Anybody know where I can buy a new replacement motor?

I would say junkyard is about your best bet.

Hi Flixbix

Ever thought of phoning a Ford Lincoln Mercury dealer? It would be the obvious place to get one.

Most of the time the problem with pulldown motors is the switch mounted on the motor, which is available separately.

There is one listed on Ebay off of an 87. I assume it would be the same as yours. Do a search for 85 to 89 parts and it should show up.
