Sixteen attendees and twelve vehicles warmed this South Eastern Pennsylvania January event to a record 71.6 Degrees!!! Well ... maybe it was a more natural force, but it sure felt like a family gathering in MAY to us! The Tri-State Thunderbird and Cougar Club joined the gathering and added to that family feeling. Siblings Amanda and Brian can attest to that :) TSTaCC President Bob Kinee expressed an interest in this year's All Ford Nationals while Amanda reminisced about "going there in Dad's old wagon." Long time breakfast goer and all around "handy" mechanic, Thain "Gadget73" was there after a six month hiatus and Mr. Ernest Dancy (OldSchool's Dad) made a cameo appearance sporting his Chevy Impala with 3200 miles on the odometer!
In attendance was:
Rose "FoxesDenMom" Chismar 1993 Pontiac Bonneville
Jack "HizHonor" Cohen 1991 Lincoln Mark VII LSC SE
Tim "OmniPresent" Crisden 1990 Lincoln Mark VII LSC
Ernest "Mr Ernie" Dancy 2003 Chevy Impala
John "OldSchool1" Dancy co-pilot
Lynette "Mrs.OldSchool" Hendershot 1990 Lincoln Mark VII LSC
Jeffrey "LSCinPA/CougarDoc" Hine 1993 Pontiac Bonneville
Richard "Richard" Hine 1993 Pontiac Bonneville
Bob "as himself" Kinee 1994Lincoln Mark VIII
Amanda "Sassy94" Larkin 1994 Thunderbird LX
Brian "BJL" Larkin 1995 Ford Ranger Splash
Nate "Nate" Majkszak 1988 T-Bird Sport
Joe "JoeyChrome" Mazzone 1990 Lincoln Mark VII LSC
Mr Smith 2003 Chevy Impala
Thaine "Gadget73" Strzelecki 1986 Lincoln Town Car
Joe "Wolfer" Wolfer 1993 Thunderbird LX

As he said, it's still there. I'll make sure to include pictures of "The Mystery Lincoln" in future Springfield, PA events.
For those that didn't know, we've had events under a couple of names since 2003. Also since 2003, there has been this LARGE GREEN panel van parked in the lot. Over the years, it's found it's way into MANY of our photos and has since been dubbed ... The Mystery Lincoln as it has attended each Springfield, PA meet!

Just found out I'm starting another job on saturday. :( Why do these people want me to start on a saturday? Don't they know I have VERY important car shows to go to?;) Anyway, I'm going to see if I can push it back to about 12pm on saturday so I can still come to the show.

If you think the “frozen tundra” is only on Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, you are ALL sadly mistaken! Today’s Lincoln Mark VII Club’s Breakfast Meet will now and forever be known as the Breakfast “Frozen Meat”. It was so cold in Norristown, PA,” Starbucks was serving coffee on a stick!” It was so cold, “I traded in my Mark VII for a Zamboni!” Today will probably be renamed later as the “Icicle Bowl”. Besides the regular pictures Oldschool1 (John Dancy) takes at the meets, today’s array of the festivities will include assorted stalactites of ice from the various cars present and various degrees of road salt dust collected on the cars.
We’re talkin’ a dedicated bunch of Mark VII owners that braved the elements. 22 degrees F. with a wind chill of 8 degrees F. Thanks to everyone that came out today! http://thelincolnmarkviiclub.org/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif http://thelincolnmarkviiclub.org/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_cool.gif http://thelincolnmarkviiclub.org/phpBB/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif WE GOTZ PICS!

Only Club Members may officially coordinate cruises. We have Members in Galveston (http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&formtype=address&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&cat=&address=&city=Galveston&state=TX&zipcode=) (way Southeast) and Dalhart (http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?searchtype=address&country=US&addtohistory=&searchtab=home&formtype=address&popflag=0&latitude=&longitude=&name=&phone=&level=&cat=&address=&city=Dalhart&state=TX&zipcode=) (way Northwest).
Where are you located?

The Southern California (West) region of the Lincoln Mark VII Club had it's February lunch today, February 18, 2007.
Brent, Chris, Kat and myself, were standing in the parking lot at about 1:30 when suddenly the ground started trembling, trees started shaking, a murderously erie sound was coming closer. We looked for low flying jets.... nothing. Perhaps an exposion, but it kept getting louder.... an earthquake? Maybe.... but no, it was a 351!
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/machVIIplatesmall.jpg
MACH VII (Jeremy) rolled into the parking lot with his 351 powered Mark which came to rest next to our other cars.
In as much as he was on his way to Vegas, he took us up on our invitation to join us. This guy is a riot!
We spent a considerable amount of time talking to him about the mods to his car. Quite impressive. He explained that it was a work in progress and from what I saw, the work so far, was quite well done. Following are some pics. (Hi res pics: http://thelincolnmarkviiclub.org/Gallery/album14 )
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/machsinteriorsmall.jpg
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/machVII351small.jpg
We were all pretty hungry, so we wandered inside to grab some chow.
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/attablesmall.jpg
Then we returned to look some more.
But we were all pretty curious about the extra pedal in the Mack VII and the custom dash cluster that Jeremy said Oldschool would be interested in.
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/extrapedal.jpg
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/machscluster.jpg
It was a fun day and progress was made on a joint cruise with the "Bay Area" folks.
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/parkinglot1.jpg
Here's "Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum" (Brent and Art) checking out some chassis mods.
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/whatthehellsmall.jpg
Over all, we made another friend and fellow Mark VII enthusiast. We wish you all could join us.
Jeremy headed off to complete his trip to Vegas and Brent & Chris and Kat & myself departed, each going our seperate ways at about 5:30 pm under increasingly threatening Southern California skys, shortly after Kevin Harvick took the checkered flag, clear across the continent, at Daytona Beach.

The Lincoln Mark VII Club held it's monthly luncheon today, Sunday, March 18th at 1:00 pm. In sympathy for you snowbound folks in the midwest and east, we dressed appropriately.
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/coldsmall.jpg
We were happy to have some new guests with us today. Kat and I met Rafael at the yards yesterday and and invited him to join us. He has owned his silver 1989 Mark VII LSC for over ten years now and it sounds and runs really well. He brought his wife Gloria with him and we enjoyed his and Gloria's company. We hope he and the Mrs. join us on a regular basis.
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/rafaelandGloria.jpg
Our camera had its moments so the following picture was taken with a cell phone. I took the camera outside and beat it on a tree until it decidid to work again.
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/Meet2.jpg
In attendence were:
Rafael and Gloria, driving their silver 1989 LSC
Brent and Chris, driving their light Blue 1987 LSC
Kat, driving her white 1991 LSC
And myself, Art. I showed up in my "recently red" 1989 LSC
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/groupshotsmall.jpg
Rafael and Gloria's car had some unusual "chrome plated" (not polished aluminum) turbines on it. They had a pretty classy look to them!
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/rafaelsturbinessmall.jpg
Brent figured out how to stop the "goo" issue on the steering wheel.
http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l155/sundance0205/brentswheelsmall.jpg
Kathy and Brent are colaborating on replacing the T-Bird logo on the horn button with an embroidered leather Lincoln badge. Brent said it was an easy swap and all functions of cruise and horn work perfectly.
Overall, a very pleasent day and new friends. Rafael and Gloria left at about 4:30 and the balance of us stayed for another hour.
Wish you could have been here.

BTW, while you guys were having fun and we were experiencing wind chills in the 30's, I was working in the next issue of The Mark VII Times. Might be sending it out this week. :)
Also, to escape the cold weather this weekend, Mrs OneWayStreet and I looked at houses (online) in Casa Grande, AZ. Made us feel warmer, 'cause we HATE winter.

CA Lunch Cruise Moved to June 10, 2007
The usual lunch day (third Sunday of each month), in So Cal, falls on Fathers Day, so this is one of two "non regular" days of the year. The lunch will be held at the same place, same time, except it will be held on Sunday, June 10. One week early. (that would be next weekend)
As usual, It will be at Bob's Big Boy, in Glendale, Ca. @ 1:00 pm. (see the events section for complete details)
Please come out and see what surprises are in store for this meet. We never know what's going to happen, but it's been a string of very unique cars. I expect One Way, or Hizhonor to come toolin' into the parking lot at this rate! (or even the Mary Kay car which Oldschool acquired!) (nice find, John! I'd really like to look that car over!)
Hope to see ya all this Sunday!

How about this one....
The Lincoln Mark VII Club would like to officially introduce:
“The First Annual Irwindale Speedway Lincoln Show and Cruise in Irwindale, California”.
This event will be held on Saturday, June 30th 2007. ALL Lincoln owners are invited!
Here’s what you get to do. Arrive at the speedway by 3:00 pm. (10 miles from Los Angeles)
You and one guest will receive race day admission free.
You will be parked in an exhibition area where the public may view your car.
You will be asked to provide some information describing your car; it’s vintage, history, upgrades, etc.
Prior to the main event, all the cars will be escorted onto the racetrack for a few parade laps before the waiting spectators.
The raceway announcer will introduce you and give a description of your car based on the information that you provided. Each car and driver will be acknowledged.
The cars will be returned to the exhibition area and the race is on!
Now, THAT’S a cruise!
This is not a judged show. This is just for fun! There will be some commemorative give-aways and photos of you and your cars will be posted on-line for all to see.
There will be cars in all states of completion and condition so don’t be afraid to bring whatever you drive, show or race.
Again, everyone with a Lincoln is invited!
We hope to see you there for what will certainly be a fun day of Lincolns, friends and racing.
If possible, please RSVP to: junkyardkat@thelincolnmarkviiclub.org

Either that or you aren't taking your blood pressure medicine again!
Looks like a fine group of folks and a great group of Mark VII's.

Especially the "tuxedo" edition. You know I'm not a fan of Black down here, but with the light interior, it could work.

1992 LSC SE Ebony Black (UA) the same as mine; White leather seating and light Titanium trim. Once that car is REALLY cleaned up, it's gonna be a classy lookin' ve-hickle! :)

I was busy working on a darn Chevy motor, and thanks to GM's love of my attention, the same engine promptly ate a flexplate the next day, so I get to pull it and fix it this coming weekend. Boo hiss. I'd rather be at a bbq lol.
