All,
My damned seat belt buckle on the drivers side (Front seat) wont let the seat belt go into it. Theres some little thing stuck in the down position that wont let the belt go in far enough to click.

I have the 98 Service CD. It says to unbolt the buckle, then disconnect the electrical connector.

Is that connector easy to unclip?
Is there a trick to it?

This is on my 98 Limo (Krystal Koach). Im trying to take it to get inspected but this is the only thing holding me up arrrggghhhh. I think Ill be hitting Save More in the morning, then hit the DC inspection place

I've done this before on other Fords, its pretty easy. You'll need a torx bit for removal and maybe a small blade screwdriver for the harness.

I'd recommend getting a new (or junkyard) assembly to replace it with. Odds are it cannot be fixed without breaking something.

LOL,
Sorry for the late reply. The seat came out easily. Actually it wasnt a torx, I think I used a half inch or a 7/16 on the front bolts, and a 9/16 on the back ones. I know on my limo I needed 2 different sized wrenches but it is a custom built car (Krystal Koach limo) so im not too surprised.

At any rate the hardest part was getting the electrical connector for the seatbelt unplugged. I had to unbolt the seatbelt, then unbolt the seat, then tilt the seat towards the drivers side (Leaning into the car from the passenger side) Then I could see the clip where the electrical connector was snapped onto the bottom of the seat. Once I unclipped that the seat belt came right off. Theres only 4 bolts holding the seat. I think the motor and all are mounted up on the seat.
