Alright everyone, I need your help!
My original Cats are clogged (169,000 miles) and my exhaust is blowing out of the EGR tube (due to the back pressure).
Now, I've lined up some High-flow cats from SHO-Bro's Garage. But the cats he's got are for very specific applications.

I'm pretty much convinced I can use the Vulcan Y-Pipe to work for the Essex v6. Now I need your thoughts and opinions.
Thanks!
-Dustin

Hard to tell......I'd do the junk yard route first, a lot cheaper, they will burn the bolts off quick too....probably pay 40-50 bucks

Well gentlemen, SHO-Bro's just went up a notch in my book!
I will have it up on the site later today. What year do you have?

Matt, Thanks for the quick reply.
I sure am! My cats are clogged something bad, and I really wanna replace them with your high-flow option. How long do you think it would take to get?

Brian,
I had a quick questions concerning the new y-pipes you offer.
Will any of them work with my '92 Taurus with the 3.8 Essex?
Thanks!

Yeah, headers will have to wait, (as well as the SHO cat-back exhaust) until I have money to burn.

The pull down menu says the 3.8L part is $30 cheaper?
Either way, that's a nice part...I like how they explain why they use a smaller pipe. That was very well said.

I agree....I'm really very happy to get such a nice part (Stainless! Mandrell bent! 2in. Diameter!) for even less than I thought. I ordered it today - and I'll do nice photogenic write-up. :)

Ok guys, I'm sorry to have been away for so long - work's been killing me!
I installed the high flow cats from Sho-Bros.
How'd they grade?
A-
I couldn't give it an A+ because it wasn't quite the direct bolt up they claimed, but that can be overlooked because of price and the customer service factor (which did get an A+!).
Two things I noted during install:
Have a buddy (or two) handy to help with a pry bar & impact gun, you'll have to force the new cat to bend a little before your bolt will line up.
Second was that my car was built without exhaust header gaskets, which I took the time to add.
(I also pulled five exhaust pipe size chunks of old catalyst from my flex pipe which was stopped up )
ps. Sorry for not having a tech article, I forgot my camera the day I put the cat on.
