was up in vermont with navi, noticed that when in a4wd the tranny operated more like my allison/duramax combo in my gmc.

seemed like it would lock up and allow a slow desent down hills, like tow/haul option on allison tranny .

interesting option.

That could be good! But probably really kills your mileage. I love that ZF 6 speed!

Hmm...not sure if our 2WD model did that. But it sure gets a lot of engine braking going from 6th to 4th. :)
