OK, finally picked and resized a bunch of pics from the last few days and uploaded them to my photo albums...

The Evansville venue featured an autocross and thousands of beautiful cars.

Here was a nice looking T-bird with a blown DOHC.

Departure from Evansville started with a detour to avoid reported construction and the resultant traffic jam with thousands of cars. Apparently that had been an issue on previous days and the organizers figured the tour would be better moving along a longer route than sitting in single file for an hour or more. The rural KY countryside was quite beautiful and I loved the up/down curvy sections of the rural route.

We arrived in Memphis to sweltering heat and luckily high winds. This venue included drag racing.

The following morning brought back a return of belt/tensioner issues that happened to make us a bit late but we made the drivers morning meeting and was glad to find no changes to the planned route to the Arkansas state fairgrounds.

It was a great bunch of Lincolns and drivers too. ;)
I was at Carlisle the whole weekend Jack, worked Monday to make up for Friday and left Tuesday to join the tour Wednesday in Evansville, IN. Linked up there with the Lincoln Mafia and then on to Memphis, TN on Thursday and Little Rock, AR on Friday. Returned to Memphis Friday night for a day or R&R on Saturday before returning home to WV on Sunday.
Good to be back at work to get some rest. LOL :D

That must be Disney in the red plaid shirt on the right hand side of Frank?
Guys, I had a great time and would've been nice to hook back up on Saturday for more mischief. Even so, glad I got to see the pics. I'll have some of mine up soon, as well as some thoughts on the Tour and the Lincoln Lunatics that need to be shared :)
Oh yes, and that black Tbird is an inspiration! I wish I had a few grand in spare money to put into a project like that.

That's not Disney. I believe it's Ed, the Grand Poobah of FvC.

We walked out of the Downtown Residence Inn with our 'local guide', "Grand Poobah" Ed, looking for a restaurant called the Butcher Shop SteakHouse. We ended up touring the city on foot following Ed's GPS equipped phone or whatever he had. We walked 1 block east, 1 block south, 1 block west, 2 blocks south, 1 block west and 2 blocks north rather than 1 block west and 2 blocks south.
We all decided not to fly through Ed's airspace after that. LOL :D

Wow. I'm glad I'm the only one in the office cause that one had me rolling.
A bit like Bill's GPS on Kansas 120, if I recall correctly it had us going East when we needed to go West. Can't win 'em all.
So Disney bailed on the trip too? Wow. Glad Ed made it, though. I know you guys were looking forward to more FVC boys out there.

I did find out that a GPS will run you in circles now and then but if your in a strange city it will get you where you want to go. If you don't know where your at you'll never notice anyway. 99% of the time mine was right on.

Yep. It sure is better than just staring at street signs and going "um, that looks right."
Gotta get me one of those. As you say, 99%, works for me. My map reading success ratio isn't that high.
