has any one heard of b and b performance cold air intake this is the link http://www.globalautoshop.com/accessories/automotive/lincoln_index.htm the website says they are the only ones that sell it, if that is no good does anyone have any other suggestions for a cold air intake for a 07 mkz 3.5 engine. i can not really find any other performance parts for the car i only found the magnaflow exhaust system for it anyone know of any other parts?

Pray tell how is it a cold air intake when it sits in the engine compartment?? Does look pretty, if they put flame stickers on it you might even get another 15hp.

Looks like a universal HOT AIR intake made for any car. Pass.

Steeda has a cold air kit for the 3.0L Fusion, but I betcha that it will bolt up fine to a 3.5L MKZ. I bet K&N has one for the Fusion too.

Tell us what you come up with, and welcome.

Longer is fine, but the odds of it actually being shielded from the MKZ' radiator and engine heat is not likely. Models may vary, but ask them if it comes with an actual heat shield.

And some ducting to actually get cold air from outside the engine compartment, like the stock setup already has!!!!

I agree. Cars today are already pretty efficient from the get go.

It requires about 20-hp to even feel a difference…you will not even get close to that figure with an intake. Many of these mods are supplementary anyways. Meaning you can not gain much unless you upgrade other items collectively.

It's like your cars airbag. An airbag alone will not do much good unless you wear your seat belt. Air bags supplement the seat belt. Hints "SRS" Supplemental Restraint Systems.

Yeah but you can get a little better throttle response and a lot more sound if you improve on it.

If I had access to these new Lincolns, I'd probably find a cheap way to open up their airboxes without resorting to a hot-air intake. There must be a restriction that can be knocked out.
