.... I was repairing the AC in my Mark VII.

This was the third attempt at recharging the system. Last Saturday, found a leaking low side valve and a non-functioning low pressure cut-off switch. Those were replaced and the system was recharged with no leak detected.
The following Monday, found a leak under the low pressure cut-off switch. The valve was replaced, system was recharged, and dye was injected to detect further leaks.
Today, we replaced (again) the low side valve as it was the only component spewing yellow dye. Hope we got it this time.

Did you replace the O ring in the low pressure switch? There is supposed to be a small O ring that sits up in there, if its missing or damaged it will have a slight leak around the threads.

Yep, it was replaced. The new switch came with a green o-ring. Made sure the old o-ring was off the shrader valve.

OK cool, just figured I'd ask because I had the same problem, and it was the O ring. It got damaged when I replaced the drier during the AC rebuild last year. Handily the package of O rings came with a properly sized one that fixed it up for me.

After 1 week, I've still got frigid air coming out of the vents!

Yippee!

Cruising in the heat and humidity is MUCH more tolerable when the AC is working. :p

This Saturday I started sanding and polishing 2 of the 4 body panels that were repaired from my falling tree disaster in March.

The right door and right front fender are done. Wish I had my digital, but Mrs OneWayStreet took it to Georgia. But that orange peel look is gone from those 2 panels.

Next week (Sunday and/or Monday) I'll try to finish the car up. I have the hood, left front fender, and other small areas on the car that need "smoothing".
