Fender skirts

Hey,
I have a 1976 Lincoln Continental, and I want to find out if the fender skirts on a 1978 Lincoln Continental are interchangable. I'm looking for a higher rise fender skirt instead of the original sleepy eye version. If they are not interchangable, what modifications can I do so that they would fit?

I can't say for sure, but I know the 76 vs. 78 models had significant differences on the front and rear end. There's a chance that the fender skirt only works with the correct side trim for that specific year.
