Maserati knock-off in the back, Jaguar XF from the side and ugly from the front. Lexus is still smiling.
Nice job, Lincoln. Instead of giving Americans a real American car to lust for, you grabbed a Volvo platform, didn't change its proportions...and pretty much screwed the pooch again. :)

Actually i think thats a pretty good looking car. I certainly wouldn't mind having one in the driveway at some point.

Looks like a redesigned Zephyr/MKZ
Is this what passes for style nowadays? I actually feel bad for it because I doubt Lexus, Acura and even Caddy owners would flock to this one.

Not bad overall. I was pleasantly surprised by all the positive comments on Autoblog.
IMO the trim on the front bumper would look better body color.
I would have also liked to see a more angular/muscular front end. Something more LS like. This front end looks as undefined as..well..a 98-02 TC.
It's hard to judge the lines from these photos.
I would buy a pre-ownend MKS...if it depreciates as rapidly as a TC ;).

Again, again, again, another car that looks like every other new car.

style is relative, if it shocks you then it's a good thing. It would be a completely different animal in a pearl white or black. There are many colors used over the years that just didn't jibe with the cars wearing them.
At the risk of being labeled ignorant, is this car a go? Release dates planned yet?

Its a go, probably coming out this fall. Right now, we have no clue if it will have a 300 hp V6 or a 400-ish hp turbo-V6.

here is the info from my local lincoln dealer:

so disapointing....i hoped for more. they say the twin-turbo will be an option in the second production year. what do you think?

That dealer website is seriously old. That's the MKS concept car and the V8 has been dead for many, many months now.

so whats that a picture of Pro 5-0? Is that concept? I still think the suicide doors are the best way to stand apart from the crowd. Old school flavor. Why all the hype about HP's? A twin-turbo would be nice, but practical? I don't know. It's not running 1/4 times, the maxima v6 is plenty quick for a sedan and something comprable with acceleration/gas mileage is what I'm looking for.
Side note, any thoughts on the new CUV? My parents are very tempted but I'm not sold.... any thoughts/links?
I'm all over the place on this one, sorry.

That's the concept. And old school flavor is the only selling point Lincoln has over the imports...but its not gonna happen.
The Lincoln MKX crossover is pretty nice, I like the front and rear end. Interior is nice too, but you have to ask yourself if that's worth the extra $4000-8000 over a Ford Edge...which is the same CUV otherwise.

Hmm. I don't know what to think. On the 3rd shot, I was reminded of the Quattroporte (sp?) but in the 4th shot, I was reminded of an Altima. Other than the wheels, I think the car is probably the least Lincoln-esque car I've seen in years. It's not overly bad I guess but it's not overly exciting either. I'll take a V8 Pontiac G8 thanks :)
