Can someone tell me what the correct size tire would be for a 1977 Mark V?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi FormerLSCowner

If you want radial tires 235/75R15 or if you want the original bias ply tires L78-15.

Ok, I'll look for 235/75/15's then.

My uncle gave me a 77 Mark 5 Emilio Pucci edition. It needs tires among other things before I can bring it back to Nebraska.

Thanks,
Steve

Is the bolt pattern on the 77 Mark V the same as later Lincolns such as the 90's Towncars? I wonder if a set of wheels from a 90-97 Towncar would bolt right on? Hmmm

Its the same bolt pattern as Full-size Chevy trucks.

Its the same bolt pattern as Full-size Chevy trucks.

You must be talking about pre-88 models? Chevy trucks are 6-bolt. The 2wd models I think were still 5 bolt though up into the 90's if I remember correctly.

What is the bolt pattern for the Mark V?

Hi FormerLSCOwner

Any Lincoln wheel made after 1979 WILL NOT fit your Mark V the PCD is smaller.

Ok thanks for the info.

Can you tell me what the Bolt pattern is on the Mark V? Is it 5x5 or 5x4.75?

Thanks,
Steve

I don't know the pattern (I'm bad with numbers), its the same as 90s Chevy 2wd full size pickups. Common pattern, even full size GM cars used it.

My uncle e-mailed me back and said the tires on it are 225 X 15x?

I believe the old bolt pattern for full size cars is 5x5.

Except for the '72 Mark IV...one year only...and I found that out the hard way.
